Take a trip down memory lane, as the Marion Senior Center dance floor is transformed into a 1950s high school gymnasium, complete with a live band and decorated accordingly, for a good old-fashioned “Sock Hop” on Thursday, February 13th from 5:30 – 8:00 pm.
Local band “The Revisions” are back by popular demand. They will be playing popular hits from iconic entertainers of yesteryear, including Buddy Holly, Connie Frances, Chuck Berry, Patsy Cline and Elvis, to name a few.
In the spirit of the era, they will be serving a choice of coney dogs or shredded chicken sandwiches, chips, onion rings, root beer floats, and dessert.
Tickets for the Sock Hop are $8 for Marion Senior Center Members/$10 for Non-Members, and are available at the Transportation Desk until Friday, February 7th. The public is welcome. Please call (740) 387-6100 for more information.
