Women’s Business Council Goes Green

The April luncheon meeting for Women’s Business Council takes a look at the growing trend of living green, presented by Angie Carbetta, Marion County Recycling & Litter Prevention, Director and Environmental Educator.

The luncheon will be Monday, April 12 at the Country Gatherings, 1775 Marion-Waldo Rd, Marion. The program is slated to start with networking at 11:30 a.m.

Please wear something green or re-purposed if you plan to attend.

Angie serves as an environmental educator for a multi county area. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Ohio Association of Litter Prevention & Recycling Professionals (OALPRP). She has presented litter seminars at OALPRP’s state conference to be used as a model for other county offices from around the state. Angie has initiated numerous clean-up events that draw volunteers from assorted community groups from around the multi-county area.

If interested in attending the luncheon, you should make reservations by calling Karen Bateman at (740) 375-3806. The luncheon price will be $12 with the deadline for reservations Thursday, March 8.

Please join us to see if you would like to become a member of the Marion Women’s Business Council, an organization dedicated to programming and networking opportunities for women in business.

There will also be a clothing rack available, provided by Lucinda Richardson of “I Wish for Prom,” for anyone wishing to contribute “re-purposed” prom dresses or business outfits. The donations will be distributed for re-use for prom and job interviews.
