Marion Community Credit Union raised $1,985 toward the Ohio credit union statewide fundraiser, Marching Miles for Miracle Kids, to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network and the eight children’s hospitals serving Ohio. The event as a whole raised $110,000 this year, bringing the four-year total to $370,000.
Marion Community Credit Union is proud to be a supporter of this collaborative effort and raised money through a variety of ways. Vidya Iyengar President/CEO and Glenn Coble Business Development Specialist of Marion Community Credit Union participated in this year’s march. The staff of the credit union raises thousands of dollars more for this and other charitable causes affecting the citizens of Marion County.
The 170-mile relay-style march kicked-off in Dublin on March 28 and concluded in Cincinnati on April 15 at the Ohio Credit Union League ZENITH10 in the Duke Energy Convention Center. On average, marchers walked 10 miles a day during the 18-day trek. Credit union professionals, volunteers, and members statewide raised money through an online fundraising site.
Children’s Miracle Network generates funds and awareness programs in partnership with and for the benefit of member hospitals/foundations and the children they serve. Compassionate organizations, media partners and individuals unite with Children’s Miracle Network hospitals to help sick and injured kids in local communities. Donations to Children’s Miracle Network create miracles by funding specialized medical care, research, and education that save and improve the lives of children.
