Following two days of auditions, Clare Cooke, George Schram, Kristi Wink and Johnny Steiner have announced the cast and orchestra for the Palace Theatre’s summer musical Guys & Dolls.
Considered by many as the perfect musical comedy, Guys and Dolls takes audiences into New York City where the worlds of no-good gamblers and do-good mission workers collide.
Nathan Detroit (Charles Groth) is looking for a location to hold his illegal craps game. Miss Adelaide (Joni Carlson), Nathan’s fiancée of several years, is hoping they can finally settle down and marry.
Upon the advice of his associates Nicely-Nicely Johnson (John Garnes II) and Benny Southstreet (Reid Barth), Nathan makes a bet with the fast and loose Sky Masterson (Johnny Steiner). To win the bet, Sky must convince uptight mission doll Sarah Brown (Megan Withrow) to fly to Havana, Cuba with him.
When the two unexpectedly begin to fall in love it makes for a wild musical ride.
