The Meeker Sportsman Club is hosting a series of “House Concerts” for an up close and personal performance with artists from across the country. This type of concert is typically held in a home, back yard or small private space which makes for a unique and interactive experience.
First in the series, on July 10th, is Elly Wininger who is known for her true roots music, with a wicked sense of humor and top notch finger style and guitar playing. She's an award winning songwriter who plays a cornucopia of Americana styles from country blues to hilarious satire.
Doors will open at 5:30 pm, concert begins at 6:00 pm. Cost is a $10 suggested donation for adults, children 12 and under are free. Reservations are highly suggested as there is very limited seating.
Upcoming performers include C. Daniel Boling in August, Laurence "Luckyman" Beall in September, Lou & Peter Berryman in October and Bill Isles in November. Performances are typically two sets, 45 minutes to an hour each, with an intermission in between.
