Marion General Hospital's TWIG VII recently donated $4,190 toward the purchase of a Biostep semi-recumbent elliptical machine. Benefits of the machine include zero joint impact, large seating area, step-through design, integral contact and polar telemetry heart rate monitoring, and large easy to display features.
According to Lynn Long, manager of respiratory care, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, "This is a favorite piece of equipment for our cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients and is especially useful for deconditioned or debilitated patients."
Members of the organization recently came together for a thank you from the hospital’s cardiac and pulmonary rehab staff.
