The Marion County Park District and The Warehouse restaurant, 320 West Center Street, have partnered in a fund raising effort to raise local matching grant funds for the new Marion Tallgrass Trail.
The trail, now under design by the Floyd Browne Group of Delaware, anticipates ground breaking in late summer.
"This project has been blessed by many kind corporate and individual donors to get us to this point. I am very happy that Dr. Jack Telfer, who passed away this week, was able to see a project that he started, begin its development," said Park Director, Karen Kelley. "We will do our best to build this $3,000,000 + investment in the community with grants. However the grants often require a 25% match. So if folks want to help us out by donations we would sincerely appreciate it."
Patrons simply need to print the coupon linked below and take with them to eat at The Warehouse restaurant June 8, 9 and 10. The restaurant will then donate 20% of your meal tab to the Marion Tallgrass Trail project.
