All area children, ages 4 through 6th grade, are invited to come to Good Friday Day Camp at Timothy Lutheran Church on Friday, April 6, 2012. The day will begin at 9:00am and last until 3:00pm. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
The theme for this year is “The Amazing Race to the Cross!!” A new experience for the children will be completing race-like challenges while learning Bible stories. The final challenge at the end of the day will be each age group participating in a giant puzzle to learn more about Good Friday.
Kids attending will play games, make a quality craft, jump in moonwalks, find candy-filled Easter Eggs, and enjoy a great day of fun. Plus, hopefully they will meet lots of new friends.
There is no cost and transportation can be provided if needed.
The goal of the people of Timothy is to love the children who will be here and share with them the Good News of God’s love for them, especially the children who do not have a church home or attend church regularly. Organizers say they want to teach them what is “good” about Good Friday.
Children are encouraged to wear play clothes and gym shoes. Some activities will be outside if the weather permits.
