Historical Society Holding Annual Rummage Sale

The Marion County Historical Society is having a Museum and Membership Rummage sale on April 21, Saturday from 9-5 PM. The sale will be held in the auditorium at Heritage Hall and also in the parking lot behind the museum, weather permitting. A Members Only Presale will be held on April 20 from 4-6 pm.  Organizers ask that you bring your Membership ID for admittance to the presale.

Proceeds from this event will be used to purchase collections preservation supplies and to support the MCHS operating budget. The mission of the Marion County Historical Society is to document the history of Marion County, Ohio by identifying, collecting, and preserving artifacts, records and personal papers of value from Marion County residents, organizations, businesses, and related groups from the prehistoric times to the present. Items included in this sale are donated specifically to be sold for the benefit of MCHS.

Anyone wishing to donate good used items to MCHS for the sale may bring them to Heritage Hall between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM on April 16 – 20. Please call 740-387-4255 prior to bringing your items so they can have someone available to help unload your vehicles.

While they are accepting donations of a wide variety of items, they say they prefer that no clothing be donated.

For those unfamiliar with Heritage Hall, it is located on the corner of Church and State Streets with the parking lot on the south side of the building. Call 740-387-4255 for more details.
