Man Stabbed During Marion Home Invasion

The Marion Police Department says a man was injured during a home invasion early Monday, April 30. Investigators say at just before 2:00am, four suspects entered a home on Monroe Street and demanded money and narcotics from the homeowner.

The suspects fled the home after taking some items.

The 71-year-old male homeowner attempted to defend himself and was stabbed in the arm by one of the suspects, according to police. He was transported to Marion General Hospital where he was treated and released.

The suspects were described as being white males, 16-20 years old and all of them wore stocking masks covering their faces.
