Marion Trike/Bike-A-Thon to Benefit Children’s Hospital

Marion Christian Center is organizing a Trike/Bike-a-Thon on Sunday, May 6, 2012, to raise money for Nationwide Children’s Hospital. In addition to raising money, participating children will also learn tips to help keep them safe on the road and in their homes.

Children, 4-years-old through 6th grade, are invited to participate by collecting pledges and paying a $5 participation fee. You need to pre-register and pay the fee by May 2.  You can turn in both the form and fee at the office of Marion Christian Center, 1550 Richland Road. Pledges can be raised up to the day of the event.

All proceeds will go to help support families who have children at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. A grand prize will be given to the child who collects the most donations.

During the two hours, the children will ride their bikes and visit various booths in which they will learn lots of safety tips. Topics will include fire safety, bicycle safety, stranger safety, and more.

The event will be at Marion Centre Mall, in the southeast parking lot, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.

To get more information, or to submit pledges, call Marion Christian Center at 740-389-2910.
