Adapted Aquatics Swimming Lessons at the Marion Family YMCA

The Marion Family YMCA is offering an Adapted Aquatics Swim Lesson program for the summer of 2012. The Y’s Adapted Aquatic program is specifically designed for students with special needs who need a smaller teacher-to-student ratio and skills that can be adapted to meet their individual needs.

The YMCA summer program is divided into two sessions: Summer I begins on June 4th and ends July 7th and Summer II begins July 9th and ends August 11th. Adapted Aquatics swim lessons are offered on Thursdays at 5:15 PM.

The YMCA says that learning to swim with them is more than just stroke development. Trained, certified, professional staff gives each class participant personal attention to ensure quality and safety.

Adapted Aquatics lessons are sponsored by the Marion Community Foundation and funds received help make Adapted Aquatics lessons affordable for all.
