Organizations Come Together to Send Kids to Clippers Game

Several organizations came together to provide 22 Marion children a special day of baseball and memories. Thanks to their generosity, the Boys & Girls Club of Marion County members got to experience the Columbus Clippers game as part of Marion Day on Sunday, May 20.

Marion Noon Kiwanis purchased the game tickets for the kids while the Marion Community Foundation bought all the Club members hot dogs, lemonade, and ice cream sandwiches.

The group traveled in style to the stadium on Bob’s Bus thanks to the Mary Jo Stratford Trust and Ted McKinniss.

“I couldn't be prouder of those that represented the Club at today's game. It was hot but they were real troopers,” stated Boys & Girls Club director Allison Miracle.

“Striving to provide hope and opportunities for our members is one of our key elements and we want to sincerely thank all those that helped make this field trip possible,” said Miracle.
