The Marion County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man and plans charges for two other people after assisting the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office in apprehending a burglary suspect. The suspects are believed to be involved in several burglaries in the area.
On Friday, May 18, 2012 shortly after 9:00 am, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office was requested to assist the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office regarding a burglary suspect who was being followed by a home owner shortly after a burglary occurred in Morrow County. Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area and located the suspect vehicle. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle which fled from sheriff’s deputies and the pursuit ended at an address in Marion City in the 600 block of East Mark Street. Deputies took two suspects into custody following the pursuit.
Following further investigation, sheriff’s deputies recovered several stolen items from both the suspect vehicle and the residence in the 600 block of East Mark Street. These suspects are believed to be responsible for several thefts and burglaries in the Marion County and possibly the Morrow County area. The suspect vehicle is a white in color two-door Saturn that was pulling a black trailer.
James Woodrow Kelley Jr., age 43 of 611 East Mark Street Marion, Ohio, was arrested for charges of burglary. Additional charges of fleeing and eluding, three more counts of burglary, theft, unauthorized use of a credit card, forgery, receiving stolen property, obstructing official business, possession of criminal tools, and driving under suspension will also be forwarded to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office for James Woodrow Kelley Jr.
Criminal charges of unauthorized use of a credit card, forgery, and receiving stolen property will be forwarded to the Marion County Juvenile Prosecutor on a juvenile female and a third suspect, an adult female will also be charged following further investigation.
