OSUM’s InChant to Say Goodbye to Quarters Through Song

Ohio State Marion’s contemporary a cappella group InChant will hold a free public concert Thursday, June 7, at 7:30 p.m., at Morrill Hall Auditorium on the Marion campus, 1465 Mount Vernon Avenue, Marion.

The concert entitled End of Quarters will help usher out the quarter system at Ohio State and welcome semesters.  InChant will celebrate a year’s worth of new arrangements, many of which have yet to be performed in a full length concert publicly in on campus.

Audience members will be treated to an a cappella performance of original pop/rock/r&b music arrangements from this talented student group.  Songs include:  Somebody That I Used to Know by Goyte, Stereo Hearts by Adam Levine and Travie McCoy, Rollin in the Deep by Adele, Pricetag by Jessie J, Happy Together by the Flobots, and Forget You by Cee Lo Green, in addition to a number of traditional vocal jazz favorites and a cappella standards.

2012 members of InChant include:  Jessica Johnson, co-president, alto; Morgan Schwartz, co-president, soprano; Matt Moloney, treasurer, bass; Matt Meade, social media manager, tenor; Danielle Young, group photographer, soprano/alto; Paige Denman, group cheerleader, alto/soprano; Adam Moloney synthesizer, bass; Nathan Garrett, music savant, tenor; Austin King arbiter, tenor; and Derrik Young webmaster, vocal percussion.

The group will be accepting donations for this concert to help defray the cost of sound equipment, music, performance travel and more.
