Local Credit Union Organizing School Supply Drive

As the school year approaches, many families may be faced with economic pressures when buying school supplies. Many parents are unable to provide their children with basic school supplies. Corporate America Family Credit Union is trying to help elevate some financial tension local families are faced with during the school year through a school supply drive called “Project Backpack.”

Corporate America Family Credit Union began supporting “Project Backpack” in 2004.

“Helping families by providing them with basic school supplies is so rewarding” said Sue Rayner, Branch Manager of Corporate America Family Credit Union’s Marion branch. “Feedback from children and parents receiving the supplies over these past years has been such a moving, positive experience for our staff and members.”

If you’d like to help, school supplies or monies collected for “Project Backpack” can be dropped off at the Corporate America Family Credit Union’s branch located at 136 McMahan Boulevard through August 17, 2012. For more details, visit www.cafcu.org/backpack or call 1-800-359-1939.

Corporate America Family Credit Union has over 70 years of experience serving the financial needs of members, and currently has 19 locations in small towns and major metropolitan areas nationwide, serving more than 65,000 members.  For details about Corporate America Family Credit Union’s products and services, visit www.cafcu.org.
