Police Investigate Robbery at Marion Convenience Store

The Marion Police Department is investigating a robbery at a convenience store on Saturday, June 30. Police say the suspects may be involved in other, similar robberies in the area.

Investigators say that at 11:40pm on Saturday, two young white males, each between 5’ and 5’3”, walked into Circle K and ordered the clerk to open the cash registers. After grabbing an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspects fled the area in a newer white Ford Focus.

One of the suspects was wearing a red shirt and jeans and used an additional grey shirt to cover his face. The other suspect was wearing a navy blue shirt and jeans and had an additional black shirt to cover his face.

“Although this investigation is in the very early stage, there are indicators that these subjects are responsible for similar offenses that have taken place in the very recent past,” stated Lt. Mike Shade.

The Marion Police Department is asking that anyone with information relevant to this investigation to call 740-387-2525. Information can also be left anonymously at 740-375-TIPS.
