The DKMM (Delaware, Knox, Marion, Morrow) Solid Waste District will be sponsoring two Farm Tire Collection Days this summer for District residents who own or operate farm equipment. One will be held in mid-July and another in mid-August. Residents must register prior to attending this collection. No dealers or Agri-Businesses will be permitted.
Tires will be accepted on or off the rims.
The DKMM Solid Waste District is sponsoring this event with assistance from the local Soil & Water Conservation Offices, Farm Bureaus, and health departments. DKMM will subsidize most of the costs associated with the handling, transporting and processing the tires. Farm operators will be required to pay a small fee for the remaining cost of the service.
You must register for the event with the DKMM Solid Waste District Office by calling Nancy Nemeth at 740-223-4150 or e-mailing her at [email protected].
Nemeth will mail you a confirmation postcard with the date and time to deliver your tires and confirm the charge based on the quantity and size of the tires being recycled. You must bring this postcard to the collection site to verify your registration.
