Caledonia Man Arrested Following Chase

The Marion Police Department says a Caledonia man was arrested late Tuesday, August 7, after leading officers on a short chase.

At about 11:30 pm Tuesday, officers responded to the report of a drunk driver on North Main Street. Lt. Matt Bayles located the suspect vehicle after he said the driver ran a stop sign and almost caused a crash on East Mark Street at North State Street.

Lt. Bayles attempted to stop the vehicle, but said the driver refused to stop and led officers in a chase for about three minutes to the east side of Marion. The chase ended when the suspect vehicle spun out and the driver was apprehended on East Center Street at Lawrence Avenue.

Police arrested Gary Henry, Jr., 33, of Caledonia. He was taken to the Multi-County Correctional Center on charges of failure to comply, OVI, and driving under suspension.
