Two men have been named Republican of the Month by the Marion County Republican Central and Executive Committee. Dave Osmun was selected for May and Stanely Jackson for June.
Osmun is owner/operator of Osmun Co. LLC, which delves into electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair. He is a deacon, financial secretary and Sunday school superintendent of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Osmun is on the communication committee of the Republican Central and Executive committee. He and his wife, Mary Jo, who is the recently retired Marion County Recorder, have three adult sons and two grandchildren.
Jackson is currently color analyst for the Ohio State Buckeyes pre-game and post game radio show on WTVN, Columbus.The former Ohio State quarterback played in the Canadian Football League and the Continental Indoor Football League. After retiring, Jackson was recruited by the Marion Mayhem in the newly formed Continental League. He was part owner of the squad in the low budget league. He had three successful seasons with the Mayhem.
He is married to Ronita “Myricks” Jackson and they have four children, Stanley, Jr., Ronald, Tre’ Major and Jazmine, and live in Marion.
