Troopers from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a one vehicle injury crash that occurred on State Route 37 south of Guthery Road in Bowling Green Township in Marion County.
The crash involved a 1991 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by 43 year-old Dean M. Peredo of Marysville.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcycle was traveling northbound on SR 37 when Peredo failed to negotiate a curve. The Patrol says Pedero drove off the right side of the road, through a ditch, and struck a concrete culvert. Pedero was ejected from the motorcycle.
Pedero was transported from the scene by MedFlight to The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The extent of his injuries is unknown at the time of this release.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Stofcheck Ambulance Service, Scioto Valley Fire Department, and MedFlight.
The crash remains under investigation.
