Free Medication Drop Off Set for September 29

You can bring your old or unused medication to The Marion County Building on Saturday, September 29th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and dispose of them at no cost and with no questions asked.

Officials say that proper disposal helps prevent addition, overdoses, drug-related crime and water pollution.

Law enforcement officials from the Marion City Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office will collect medications at the convenient drive-thru, rain or shine. Pills, liquids, lotions, and syringes will be accepted. All containers will be recycled, with identities protected.

Call Marion County Recycling & Litter Prevention at 740-223-4120 for more information.
