Are you curious about the value of a family heirloom or vintage item picked up at a flea market or yard sale? The Marion County Historical Society, Kingston Residence of Marion, Garth’s Art and Auctions, and Goldrush Jewelers are presenting “Rags, Riches, Jewels or Junk,” their very own version of the popular PBS program Antiques Road Show.
This event, open to the general public, will take place from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, October 8 at Kingston Residence of Marion located at 464 James Way in Marion.
MCHS members will receive one appraisal free upon proof of membership and pay $5 per item for additional items. Non-members may purchase appraisals at a cost $5 per item. Total appraisals per person are limited to three items to ensure that everyone gets a chance.
Local expert Steve Bemiller from Garth’s Art and Auctions in Delaware will offer approximate verbal appraisals on antiques and Shelley Rush from Goldrush Jewelers will be offering approximate verbal appraisals on gems and jewelry.
You can bring your prized possessions to Kingston Residence of Marion any time between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm on October 8th. Help unloading items will be available upon request.
Proceeds from this event provide support for the operations of the Heritage Hall museum and the outreach and education programs offered by the Marion County Historical Society.
