Marion City Council will hold three committee meetings on Tuesday, September 3, 2012.
Finance Committee meets at 6:30 pm to discuss:
- accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the budget commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the county auditor;
- authorizing the Service Director to enter into contract for the purchase of fuel and paint;
- authorizing the Service Director to enter into contracts for the purchase of lime, concrete and residual transportation and disposal to be utilized at the Water Pollution Control Plant;
- authorizing and directing the Safety Director to enter into contract with Premier Concrete and Excavating for the Skate Park Pad Project;
- authorizing and directing the Safety Director to approve a change order for the Skate Park Equipment Contract with American Ramp Company;
- various transfers
Legislation, Codes, and Regulations Committee meets at 6:40 pm to discuss the transfer of a liquor permit for Palace Cultural Arts Association, DBA Marion Arts, at 276 West Center Street.
Municipal Services, Parks , and Recreation Committee meets at 6:50 pm to hold the third discussion on the DKMM Solid Waste Management Plan 2012 with Service Director Jay Shoup.
Marion City Council Committee meetings are held on the second floor of City Hall and are open to the public.
