The Palace Cultural Arts Association will present the family-friendly production of “Mr. Scrooge” performed by Columbus Children’s Theatre at the Marion Palace Theatre on December 8, 2012 at 2:00pm.
From the snowy streets of 19th century London to the ghostly apparitions of Christmas past, present and future, four professional actors vividly portray not just the authentic details but the emotional impact of Dickens’ holiday tale about Ebenezer Scrooge, “a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous old sinner with a heart of ice.” This show, with more than 15 characters and 30 costume changes, has been performed since 1990 and is the longest run for any Columbus Children’s Theatre production.
The show is sponsored by United Federal Credit Union.
General admission tickets for “Mr. Scrooge” are $6 and may be purchased at the Palace box office, 276 W. Center St. in downtown Marion or by phone at 740/383-2101.
Box office hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, closed Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets will be available at the door one hour prior to the performance.
