Police Arrest Man for Breaking into Restaurant

The Marion Police Department says a man was arrested early Thursday morning for breaking into a local restaurant. On November 28, 2012 at 12:07am, officers responded to report of a breaking and entering in progress at the Warehouse Restaurant, 320 West Center Street.

Officers say they located 22-year-old Joshua Partee inside the restaurant. The officers report that Partee attempted to flee the scene, but Officer Robb Reed tackled him and he was placed under arrest.

Partee was taken to the Multi-County Correctional Center on charges of breaking and entering and obstructing official business.

Officials say that Ptl. Reed suffered minor injuries during the arrest and was treated and released from Marion General Hospital.

The case will be forwarded to the Marion County Prosecutor for formal charges.
