Woman Injured in Crash with Train

The Marion Police Department says a woman was injured when her vehicle collided with a train Monday, November 19, 2012. Officers responded to the scene in the area of Silver Street and Chester Street at just after 9:00pm.

Police say the unidentified woman’s vehicle had collided with a Norfolk and Southern train.

The 34-year-old woman was taken to Marion General Hospital and then flown to Grant Medical Center in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
