Marion General Hospital Hospice is providing a special children’s holiday bereavement program. Scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012 this special session is offered at no cost to children, aged 6 to 17, who have experienced the death of someone close to them.
The program will involve crafts, storytelling and pizza. Each child will make an ornament. Brenda Thompson-Boggs, MSW/LSW, Grief Recovery® Specialist, for Marion General Hospital Hospice, will be the facilitator.
Although this group will meet for this special holiday session just this one night, there are “Healing Hearts” children’s bereavement programs offered at no cost by Marion General Hospital Hospice, held the second Wednesday of each month. All programs are held at the Marion General Hospital Office & Conference Center, located at 278 Barks Road West in Marion.
If you would like more information about the monthly programs or would like to register for this special holiday session, please call Brenda Thompson-Boggs at (740) 383.8769.
