The Marion Police Department says two people were arrested for drug-related offenses following a search warrant at 264 South State Street on Thursday, December 27, 2012.
At 3:30pm on Thursday, officers from the MARMET Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Marion Police Department Special Response Team served a drug search warrant at the home on South State Street.
Police say a “significant quantity” of crack cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the residence as well as cash.
Two residents of the home were arrested. Michael McCall, 36, was arrested for aggravated trafficking and permitting drug abuse. Marcus Hemphill, 27, was arrested for possession of drugs and permitting drug abuse.
“This search warrant represents our continued commitment to return neighborhoods to the good people of this city,” stated Lt. B.J. Gruber of the Marion Police Department.
