Marion Workshop to Promote Team Growth

The Ohio State University Alber Enterprise CenterThe Ohio State University Alber Enterprise Center, a regional center for the development of workforce training solutions, will host a half-day dynamic workshop for central Ohio area executives and community leaders entitled, “Position Your Team For Growth,” Thursday, January 31, 8:00am to 1:30pm at The Ohio State University at Marion’s Guthery Community Room.

Expert speakers, who will share their wealth of leadership experiences, include author and executive advisor of Transition Management Advisors, Jim Canterucci.  Canterucci will be accompanied by two outstanding change leaders from The Ohio State University, Dr. Bobby Moser, former vice president of The Ohio State University Agricultural Administration and Dr. Keith Smith, associate vice president and director of OSU Extension.

The workshop will present information to help transform organization leadership teams and help them discover the personal Habit of Innovation, identify “emerging leaders” within the organization, create a resilient leadership team, implement change with five powerful tools, and discover the key to organizational growth.

Workshop registration fee is $150 (valued at $300).  Organizers says those in attendance will share in the advice and wisdom of nationally recognized leadership experts during the 4 hour session.

A continental breakfast and buffet lunch will be provided to those in attendance.  Workshop enrollees will take home an autographed copy of the Canterucci book, Personal Brilliance; a 3 month membership in ELCircle, the development leadership hub for emerging leaders; and a flash drive of related workshop material to share with key members in your business or organization.

Registration deadline is January 15, 2013.

Presenter Bios
Jim Canterucci is an executive advisor, author, and speaker who shows individuals and organizations how to maximize personal and professional success. His guidance helps them tap into qualities and skills to lead innovation in their organizations. He is the founder and CEO of Transition Management Advisors, whose clients include Fortune 500 companies, individuals seeking to enhance their Personal Brilliance, and emerging leaders focusing on growth. He lives in Westerville, Ohio.

Bobby Moser served The Ohio State University as VP/Dean of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) for 21 years. His recent decision to step aside from that role and into a new role as special assistant for external relations, provides him with the opportunity to share his leadership strengths and successes with others. Under Moser’s tenure, CFAES experienced considerable growth and change, and the college’s image expanded to a place of high science and education, focusing on the total food system, the environment, and new technologies.

Keith Smith is director of OSU Extension, associate VP of Agricultural Administration, and associate dean of CFAES. He is responsible for the entire OSU Extension operation, leading nearly 700 faculty and support staff throughout Ohio’s 88 counties. Keith has transformed Extension into a thriving organization that impacts business and economic growth, youth development, agricultural improvements, and family life. All of this is achieved despite annual federal, state, and county funding challenges.
