Palace Theatre Showing Les Misérables Movie

The Marion Palace Theatre will show the motion-picture adaptation of the beloved global stage sensation, Les Misérables on Friday, February 1, and Sunday, February 3, 2013. The film recently won a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture and is nominated for 8 Academy nominations including Best Motion Picture of the Year.

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, the film tells an more »enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption – a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. Ex-prisoner Jean Valjean is hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever.

Les Misérables stars Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, and Sacha Baron Cohen.  This movie is rated PG-13 for suggestive and sexual material, violence and thematic elements and runs for 2 hours, 38 minutes.

Les Misérables will play at the Marion Palace Theatre Friday, February 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 3 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are $4/Adults, $3/Seniors (62 & over), $2/Children (12 and under).
