Due to the opening of the new health technologies center at Marion Technical College, seats are available for the State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) courses. There are no prerequisites and the course is needed if you are interested in pursuing a nursing degree. If you are interested, there is still time to register. Classes begin on April 8, 2013.
“The STNA course offers a great introduction to nursing and allows for a two day clinical in a nursing home before completing the course. This allows students to get a feel for nursing. It also allows those interested in the health field to gain employment right away while they work on furthering their degree,” explained Mary McWilliams, MTC Dean of Nursing.
Contact the admission office at 740-389-4636 or visit www.mtc.edu for more information on dates and times of the course offering.
