On Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at approximately 6:00 am, an officer with the Marion Police Department happened onto a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Klerx Avenue and North Main Street in Marion.
Police say it appeared that a 1997 Saturn was heading the wrong direction (East) on Klerx Avenue when it collided with a 2003 Ford truck that was south bound on North Main Street and attempted to turn onto Klerx Avenue.
Marion City Fire responded to the scene and transported an 18 year-old male from the Saturn and a 58 year-old male from the Ford to Marion General Hospital. Both drivers were transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus due to their injuries. An update on their condition was not available.
The crash remains under investigation and no citations have been issued. Police said that alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident at this time.
