Johnny Steiner to Present “Me, Myself and I” at the Palace May Pavilion

Johnny SteinerOne of Marion’s best loved hometown artists, Johnny Steiner, will present Me, Myself and I at the Marion Palace Theatre May Pavilion in downtown Marion on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 3 pm.

Johnny Steiner is undeniably one of Marion’s favorite local performers. Originally from Green Camp, Ohio and a graduate of Elgin High School and Otterbein University, Johnny has performed for thousands of people throughout central Ohio – with big bands, with orchestras, in coffee houses, in theaters, in churches, in plays and musicals. He has also sung on stage with the legendary Barry Manilow, Tony Award winning theater actor Ron Richardson, celebrated comedian Bob Newhart, and Pulitzer Prize winner Marvin Hamlisch.

Johnny is passionate about his music and his performances.  He reveals, “There is nothing I would rather do than stand on a stage and sing for an audience.”

He goes on to say, “I view being a performer as a constant evolution. I persistently strive to become a better singer and performer. Composer Richard Rodgers wrote ‘the sweetest sounds I’ll ever hear are still inside my head’ – and that’s sort of always been my philosophy as an artist. Never settle. Never get too complacent. Never take your talent for granted. Always try to out-do last night’s show. Respect your audience. Respect the literature. Respect yourself.”

Johnny, along with his beloved accompanist of 20 years, Eileen Huston, and a surprise guest or two promise to entertain audiences for an afternoon of comedy, positivity and wonderful music featuring tunes from the great American songbook–songs from the 30s, 40s, and 50s.
