The Meeker Sportsman Club in Marion is offering a “Firearm Safety” class. The class will be held from 10 AM – 1 PM on Saturday, April 20th, 2013 at the Meeker Sportsman Club, 1658 Agosta-Meeker Road North, Marion, OH 43302. The class is free to anyone interested, pre-registration is not required.
The class is aimed at both non-firearm owners and first-time owners. It will cover the safe handling and storage of firearms which can benefit even those with no interest in firearms. Whether someone chooses to own a gun or, due to unforeseen circumstances, finds themselves in the presence of one, having the knowledge to safely handle that weapon could prevent a tragedy. Discussions will include the responsibility of ownership, how to choose your first firearm and the difference in guns and ammunition.
The class involves no shooting instruction, it is simply education for those who are unfamiliar with firearms.
