Sheriff’s Office Arrests Man Found Slumped in His Vehicle

Marion County SheriffThe Marion County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested a man on drug charges after a passerby witnessed the man slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle in the Village of Kirkpatrick.

On Friday, April 5, 2013 at 1:57pm, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a man slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle in a parking lot in Kirkpatrick. Prior to deputies and medical personnel arriving on scene, the subject drove away from the area traveling south on Columbus-Sandusky Road North and was reportedly driving all over the roadway.

The vehicle finally stopped alongside the roadway as a 1st Consolidated Squad approached. Deputies arrived and made contact with the driver, 33-year-old Lucas Shaver of 615 North Greenwood Street of Marion.

Deputies say Shaver was found to be under the influence of narcotics and was arrested for O.V.I. and possession of drugs and was taken to the Multi-County Correctional Center. Shaver was in possession of suspected heroin and cocaine as well as $2293 in cash which was seized by deputies.
