Ohio State Marion’s performing arts and entertainment series Five Nights on Campus will close another season of entertainment with a performance by the Cincinnati-based jazz band Bone Voyage, Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in Morrill Hall Auditorium on the Marion campus.
Bone Voyage is a septet that plays the music of the 20th century with the sound of two trombones plus trumpets, clarinet/sax, vibraphone, and rhythm. The band maintains a busy performance schedule throughout the tri-state area and recently concluded a 7 ½ year residency at the Cactus Pear Southwest Bistro in Blue Ash, Ohio. Led by Marion native, Dave Haldeman, the band is known for its wide repertoire, ranging from Bourbon Street to Broadway, Traditional Dixieland Jazz to Swing, and Mainstream Jazz to Latin Jazz.
Ticket prices for Five Nights individual performances are: $10 for adults; $9 for seniors; and $4 for students. Marion campus faculty and staff, which includes all Ohio State Marion and Marion Technical College personnel, are eligible for $8 discounted individual performance tickets. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. in Morrill Hall Auditorium. Doors open at 7 p.m. All tickets are general seating.
