The Lincoln Park Aquatic Center is offering swim lessons beginning July 9, 2013. The 6 lesson session, available during the morning and evening, takes place on July 9, 10, 11 and July 16, 17 and 18.
All ages are assessed during the 1st class to ensure their skill level.
3 to 5 years old class time is 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. In this class children will learn water safety, basic strokes and kicks. Age 6 years and older class time is 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. Students will enhance their swim strokes, kicks and endurance in the water. They will also work on breath and stroke coordination.
Morning class times for the same dates are 11-11:30 a.m. for 3 to 5 years old and 11-11:45 a.m. for 6 years and older.
Cost is $30 per session for members and $45 for non-members. 4 or more students must be registered before they can hold the class.

There are only a few spots open for AquaGym on Sunday, June 30, 2013. A second AquaGym opportunity has been scheduled for Saturday, July 6th from 7 to 9 p.m. Imagine the thrill of pulling on a pair of swim fins, a mask and scuba equipment and learning how to breathe and play under water. That’s the whole idea behind AquaGym, a new underwater fitness program for kids 8 years old and up.
Under the care and guidance of a certified scuba instructor, kids learn and enjoy the thrill of games, individual and team challenges designed to provide them with fun, excitement, confidence building and a real sense of accomplishment.
Class sizes are limited to ensure the safety and special attention for each child. Cost is $40 for the 2 hour adventure. No scuba experience is necessary and they provide all the equipment. All you need is a swimsuit and a towel.
