Suspect in Caledonia Robbery Sought

Marion County SheriffThe Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a suspect in a robbery that took place in Caledonia on Wednesday afternoon. A clerk at the Caledonia Quick Stop, 533 South High Street in Caledonia, reported a robbery at approximately 12:27pm on July 17, 2013.

The clerk told sheriff’s deputies that a white male in his mid 20’s to early 30’s with short reddish hair and acne on his face and arms entered the store. The suspect then brandished a knife and demanded money from the register. An undisclosed amount of money was given to the suspect, who then ran out the back door of the store and fled the area on foot.

Investigators say the suspect is believed to be from the Caledonia area but his name is not known. The suspect may own or drive a homemade motorized wagon or cart that has an engine in the front. This homemade motorized wagon has been seen in the area with the suspect numerous times in the past but his identity is not known.
