The Marion Senior Center, in partnership with Interim Healthcare, will host an “Outdoor Movie” on the evening of Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 8:00pm to 11:00pm.
“The Odd Life of Timothy Green”, a newly released Disney film, will be shown outdoors on a giant 18-foot x 14-foot inflatable screen. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring comfortable lawn chairs to set up on the tennis courts (or blankets on the grass, if they prefer).
Popcorn, beverages and popsicles will be served at 8:00 pm, and Brenda Lyons will perform movie theme music during the audience participation “Name That Movie Tune” music trivia contest prior to the movie. The movie screening will begin at approximately 9:00 pm.
This event is open to Senior Center members and their extended families, as well as the public for anyone age 50-plus. Tickets are $5 for Members (and their extended family); $8 for Non-members age 50-plus and include admission to the movie and the aforementioned snacks.
Tickets are available at the Senior Center, located at 2375 Harding Highway East in Marion.
