Marion Palace TheatreThe Marion Palace Theatre will show the animated film “Monsters University” on August 2, 3 and 4, 2013.

Monsters University” is a prequel to the 2001 Oscar nominated film “Monsters, Inc.”

The Disney/Pixar film takes the audience back to a time before Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) and James P. Sullivan (voice of John Goodman) became best friends.  Movie-goers will discover when the two monsters met at Monsters University they were bitter rivals. The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit eventually gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters.

“Monsters University” is a fun family film that unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends. This film is rated G and runs 104 minutes.
