Marion Technical College is holding its first annual 5K event called Kickin It on Campus. The event is a fun run/walk event to be held on the Marion Campus on Saturday, September 28, 2013.
This year, the money raised with go to the Arthritis Foundation in honor of faculty member, Angie Voll’s daughter who suffers from Juvenile Arthritis. In the future, proceeds will go toward scholarships for Marion Technical College students.
The race begins and ends on the Marion Campus, 1467 Mount Vernon Avenue. Race day registration is from 7:00am to 8:00am with the race beginning at 8:00am.
Preregistration fee is $25 and includes a t-shirt if registered by September 6. Race day registration $30.
The route is flat, scenic and does not leave the Campus grounds. There will be a male and female winner from 11 different age groups.
Registrations can be picked up at Marion Technical College in the Technical Education Center or the registration form can be downloaded at www.mtc.edu/5K.
