The Meeker Sportsman Club will hold its annual Family Outdoor Sporting Day on Saturday, September 21, 2013. The public is invited to participate in instructor supervised, hands-on target shooting with pistols, rifles, bow and arrows, shotguns, bb guns and air rifles. The day will also include a water retriever demonstration by Davis Retrievers of Radnor, Ohio.
The event is free of charge and a free lunch is provided. Registration is required the day of the event from 9:00am to 9:15 am followed by a short safety-orientation. Activities will run until 4:00 pm.
Organizers stress that safety is a priority and that anyone who cannot register during that time must wait for an individual registration/orientation. Minors under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times, no drop-offs.
The event is co-sponsored by the Meeker Sportsman Club, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Wildlife and Wildlife & Sport Fish Restoration Program, the Heart of Ohio Strutters Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, and Pheasants Forever.
The club is located at 1658 Agosta Meeker Rd. N., Marion, OH.
