The Friends of Prairie Parks are sponsoring a “Birds of Prey” program on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 2:00pm at the Tallgrass Trail. Aimee Pico, of the Lake Milton Raptor Education Center in Michigan, and Kay Oster, a Marion resident, will be back to share their knowledge and provide an up close look at several types of birds of prey.
Dan Sheridan of the Marion County Parks District said that a similar program held in April 2012 was a “big hit” and people have been asking for its return.
The program is free, but donations towards the continued improvement at the trail are always welcome.
The Tallgrass Trail is located at 2093 Holland Rd. West just west of the City of Marion.
