Palace Theatre Receives Ohio Arts Council Funding

Marion Palace TheatreThe Marion Palace Theatre Palace Cultural Arts Association (PCAA) is pleased to announce that it has received a matching grant of $21,331 from the Ohio Arts Council (OAC).

At a public meeting on June 19, 2013, the OAC board approved the first round of grants for fiscal year 2014 and grant ratifications for fiscal year 2013. As a result, the OAC will award 478 grants totaling $9,287,064 to support arts organizations, arts programs and artists across Ohio. Thanks to the state’s investment, cultural resources like the Marion Palace Theatre improve to the quality of life in Ohio.

The PCAA is one of hundreds of cultural organizations that successfully competed for grants from the OAC this year. This grant indicates that the PCAA provides the highest level of quality in its programs, community outreach and administration.

Organizations that receive OAC funds are required to match state tax dollars with additional public and private funds.

The Ohio Arts Council is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally and economically.  The OAC’s grants to arts organizations help make programs available to broad audiences, keep ticket prices down and allow groups to undertake innovative programming.
