Timothy Lutheran Church is once again hosting Timmy’s Pumpkin Patch & The Haunted Woods. The proceeds from the pumpkin patch, open every day through October 31, will benefit two families this year.
The beneficiaries include the family of Alex Cooper, a 9th grade student at River Valley, and the Bien Aime family of Jeremie, Haiti.
Alex Cooper was diagnosed with telangiectatic osteosarcoma cancer. Organizers say he is high-spirited, courageous, loves the Pittsburgh Steelers, and is an inspiration to all. You can follow his progress at www.caringbridge.org.
The Bien Aime family of Jeremie, Haiti, lost their supply of livestock due to flooding from a hurricane. The church is sponsoring this family to help with their recovery. In addition to helping replace the lost animals, they hope to provide the financial assistance this family needs to start a small business that will benefit them for years to come.
Timmy’s Pumpkin Patch is open Monday through Friday 3:00pm to 7:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Sunday Noon to 6:00 pm.
Additional funding is provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans through the Central Ohio Four-County Chapter.
In addition to the pumpkin patch, Timothy Lutheran offers a Haunted Woods. It is free and for ages 12 through adult. It is open October 18 and 19 and October 25 and 26 from 8:00pm to 10:30 pm.
Timothy Lutheran Church is located at 3004 Marion-Mt. Gilead Road (1 mile east of Meijer’s on Rt. 95 E.). For more information, call 740-389-2410.
