Cooking Classes to Feature Local Celebrity Chefs – UPDATED

The Marion Senior Center will be offering a Celebrity Chef Cooking Class as part of their Thursday Evening Boomer Night activities. The class will feature a different celebrity chef each night, who will instruct class participants on how to prepare one of their personal favorite recipes.

Each participant in the 90 minute interactive class will receive the recipe for, as well as enjoy tasting a sample of, the food prepared that evening.

The four session class will be held in the Senior Center’s kitchen from 6:00 – 7:30 pm on Thursday evenings.

Celebrity Chefs and the dates they are participating are:

  • February 20 – George Kasotis (Former owner of Café George)
  • February 27 – Mike Nicolosi (Former owner of Scotch & Sirloin Restaurant)
  • March 6 – Sheila Hamm (Culinary Arts Instructor at Tri Rivers Career Center)
  • March 13 – Joan Badertscher (Former owner of The Dover Station Restaurant)

Class size is limited to eight participants for this four-session class. Cost is $20 for Senior Center members.
