Marion Legal Aid Office Offering Free Services to Veterans & Military Families

The Marion office of the Legal Aid Society of Columbus has received a grant to provide legal services to veterans, military service members, and their families in civil legal matters.

Those who have served in the military can now come to the Legal Aid office at 150 Oak Street, Marion, Ohio and receive assistance with a broad range of non-criminal legal problems. Help is available for family disputes, denial of government benefits, IRS collection, foreclosure or eviction, preparing wills or deeds, expunging criminal records, and numerous other legal problems. Services range from legal advice and document preparation to representation in court.

This grant will help those who have served in the military to protect their rights and better secure their livelihood. Services are available to residents of Marion, Morrow, Union, and Delaware Counties.

Veterans and service members in need of assistance should contact the Marion Office of the Legal Aid Society of Columbus at (740) 383-2161.

All services are free of charge.
