Police Arrest Two for Breaking into Marion Business

Marion Police DepartmentThe Marion Police Department reported that they made two quick arrests following a breaking and entering at Showplace Rental in Marion.

At 5:02 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2014, officers of the Marion Police Department responded to an alarm at Showplace Rental, 611 Bellefontaine Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers found a window had been smashed and two large flat screen televisions were missing.

Officials said the officers’ investigation led them to 395 Park Blvd. where two arrests were made in the case.

Rocky Jordan Jr., 35, of 395 Park Blvd., and Trevor Whelan, 29, of 440 East Church Street, Apt. 1, where taken to the Multi-County Correctional Center on charges of Breaking and Entering.

The case will be forwarded to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office for the filing of formal charges.
