Director, Clare Cooke has announced she will hold auditions for the Palace Theatre’s summer production “Legally Blonde: The Musical” on May 17 & May 18, 2014.
In this upbeat musical about self-discovery, Harvard’s beloved blonde takes the stage by pink storm. Based on the adored movie, this production stays true to form with a peppy score and playful storyline.
Cooke is looking for adults and children ages 10 and up to audition for the musical that will be performed on the Marion Palace Theatre stage in July.
Participants age 15 years and older should report from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Children age 10-14 will perform in groups and should report from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
All participants may audition either day and should enter through the front theatre doors. Those interested in participating in the chorus will audition in groups. Individuals wishing to audition for principle roles are asked to come prepared to sing a solo. Auditioners are requested to select a one-minute Broadway-style audition tune. A pianist will be provided. No CDs please. All auditioners should come dressed in casual clothing appropriate for performing choreography. Anyone interested in a principle role should also be prepared to read from the script.

Performance dates for “Legally Blonde: The Musical” are July 12, 18, and 19 at 8:00 p.m. and July 13 and 20 at 2:00 p.m.
